A welcome from our partners
We're proud and privileged to be in our third year of Young Scot with our partners Lloyds TSB Scotland.
We're looking for a remarkable Scot to follow in the footsteps of our first two winners Nifraz Raheem and Kelly Ross.
Both came from different backgrounds and were named Young Scot for vastly different reasons.
But they do share a common bond - they, like hundreds of thousands of young Scots, are making a difference to our nation right here and right now.
So send in your nominations and join us in celebrating our greatest natural asset - our young people.

The 2008 Sunday Mail and Lloyds TSB Young Scot Awards look set to be an amazing night and we’re so excited that the event is now in its third year.
Every day Young Scot hears about, or is in contact with, young people who are doing amazing things for the benefit of their country and communities. There are so many young Scots to be proud of that we think their achievements should be celebrated with a spectacular event and we’re more than happy to join them!
The young people of Scotland contribute so much and we’re delighted that Lloyds TSB Scotland continues to support them and that the Sunday Mail is prepared to challenge the media stereotypes surrounding them.
We look forward to hearing inspirational stories about young Scots from the Borders to the Shetland Isles.

We are all very excited at Lloyds TSB Scotland to be supporting the Young Scot Awards for the second year in succession. These awards recognise the
achievements of young people across Scotland in a whole range of categories including sport, the arts, health, enterprise and the environment. By working together with our friends at the Sunday Mail, we aim to make this year’s awards even bigger and better. We want to hear how Young Scots are making a difference in their communities and help celebrate their successes.
Lloyds TSB Scotland became a partner of Young Scot in June 2006. Since then we have worked together to investigate how financial services can be made more accessible and more relevant to young people. From workshops around Scotland to a national discussion day, we have canvassed the views of Young Scots and drawn up a ten point action plan from the findings.
The first significant step forward has been the acceptance of the Young Scot PASS card as valid identification for opening a bank account with Lloyds TSB Scotland. Many more ideas are in development and we look forward to taking many more steps in the right direction as we continue our successful partnership.
